For those currently owning a Dedicated Bench the Town has assigned a 10 Year Term for the life expectancy of the bench. As the end of the Term approaches you, as the bench owner, will be notified of its pending expiration and be provided one of three Options you must act on. Those Options are:

One of the first things you should decide is whether to buy a traditional or modern designed bench. Most benches fit in one of these categories, and each style has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Piano benches with storage are very convenient. You can keep all your sheet music in one place, right under where you sit! If you live in a small space and use sheet music, this is a fantastic option to save space.

Whoever you are, comfort is key. Some benches are hard-top, which means there is no cushioning. These benches may be cheaper, but they can get uncomfortable very quickly. Remember: you want to motivate yourself to play piano more, not less! So, invest in a comfortable place to sit.

The Park Market helps beautify our parks while also providing individuals with a unique way to honor special people and events in our lives. The Park People offer a selection of trees and benches through its Park Market, the only program in Milwaukee County that allows a tree to be planted or a bench to be placed on your behalf in your favorite park. From time to time, the on-line Park Market offers unique smaller gifts, such as calendars or note cards featuring our beautiful parks. The Park People also work with donors who envision a larger scale park enhancement through the Park Market.

What happens next? The Park People office will contact you to confirm your order details, answer any questions you have and keep you apprised of your bench placement. The Milwaukee County Landscape Department reviews your chosen location. They may suggest a more appropriate location based on a number of factors. When done, The Park People informs you of placement.

I started woodworking as a hobby and my first chisels were a set of POS Stanley yellow acrylic handled chisels. I learned a valuable lesson....buy the best tool you an afford and only buy it once! By the time you upgrade once, twice, three times the money you wasted could have been spent on good chisels. Hotdogman makes a great point, don't run out and buy a set of six, or eight chisels, when you will probably only need two or three "go to" chisels. The same can be said of bench planes. Some guys love to have the full array of bench planes, from a block plane all the way to a number eight jointer, yet they only reach for three of them. Get yourself some Lie-Nielsons or Ashley Isles and you'll pass them on to your grandkids

The woods used in making the benches has been sourced from either small, local sawmills, or has been sawn right here on the craftsman's own sawmill from locally salvaged trees. After assembly, they are finished with a layer of shellac, hand rubbed, and then waxed to a soft, low sheen.All materials are non-toxic.(Shellac is used to coat M&M's!)

I shopped this purchase extensively. I needed a bench that was durable, portable, adjustable and would hold (comfortably) a 240lb guy plus the weight being used. Found! This is a great bench, easy assembly, and portable around my garage by me alone. I can store my bench upright but do wish it had a cap of sorts available to cover the end of the headrest to avoid wear on the vinyl where it rests on the floor. All this at a great price point and shipped!

Wells Parks and Recreation offers several commemorative services to families who have lost a loved one and would like to memorialize them in the Town of Wells. Donations can consist of a memorial bench with an inscribed plaque, a memorial paver around the flag pole, a memorial tree to be planted in town and/or funding for park improvements.

If you would like to have a memorial bench placed in a park or open space in memory of a loved one you can purchase a bench with a plaque and donate it to The Royal Borough of Kingston where this will be maintained as a public bench. 041b061a72
